Every party has their own specialties, same goes to
this German pre-wedding culture, Polterabend. At the first place, it is already
an interesting event since it do not need any invitation card. However, the
event are very grand because there are a lot guests, especially those who are
not invited to the wedding.
Additionally, there another sweet thing about
Polterabend which is guests already
bring their wedding gifts to the party so that it is a must to provide a table
available for the gifts and ask a friend to help with the gifts by checking if
the name of the guest is on it. This is because, the couple will feel very
embarrassing for the reason not to know later on who gave what.
A different
nice memento is a guest book which is everybody can sign and add pictures later
on.
