Polterabend takes place a day before the wedding and
lasted to exactly midnight. Everybody such as families, friend, relatives as
well as neighbors will come and brings the dinner and pottery to break them in
front of the couple. Very important is the right location for the
eve-of-wedding ceremony. From before until now, it doesn’t
matter if it is the driveway, the sidewalk or the yard but most important it
should be limited to a small area and everything should be protected to avoid
damages. Need to remember, there shouldn’t be any grassy or planted areas where
the broken pieces would have to be picked out. Kids who love to take part in
the fun should stay away from the area to avoid any accidents.
