HISTORY of POLTERABEND

The origin of this culture, Polterabend is precisely practice by German citizen but nobody would dare and able to state the exact history of this culture. However, there are some trust that said the beginning of this culture come from the Germanic Tribes who threw shards to chase away the evil spirits.

The actual term is eve-of-wedding ceremony ("Polterabend") was mentioned the first time in central-Germany in 1517. Others believe also said this is the heathen ritual of the devastating of clay sacrificial altars after a sacrifice to the gods to be responsible. 

These believe seem to be claim as true by the society since it is possible to the Polterabend to have a psychological motive. This is because the newlyweds would love to have the happiness in a socially appropriate manner, so that the peace of the village could be maintained or even better.
